Welcome to Austin! All are welcome here at The 808- we are located near all the action! A short walk to Rainey St, West 4th, Dirty 6th, and all of best Downtown nightlife festivities. There are a ton of food trailers and restaurants nearby within walking distance. Featuring 2 bedrooms & 2 baths, we can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. We are located downtown and next to IH35, area, so if you are a light sleeper please be mindful we are located in a super fun and lively area!
The Space:
The 808 was built in 1931, but it's been updated to a modern feel. Situated next to IH35 and just across the highway to all the downtown fun. Enjoy the privacy fence in your backyard dividing you and the neighbors and recently installed fresh thick grass. In the backyard you will also find a gazebo, life size games and lawn chairs to enjoy! We offer cornhole, Jenga and Connect Four - all jumbo sized outdoor games!

All of our bedrooms have super comfortable mattresses (memory foam!) and high thread count linens to ensure you get a great nights rest. Play indoor and/or outdoor as we have provided games. The 808 IS A PARTY ZONE in Austin!

☆☆ LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! ☆☆
Rainy Street is a 5 minute walk, and features about 20 bars and restaurants. My favorites are Lustre Pearl (huge backyard with lots of bar games and rooftop bar), Icenhauers (Sunday funday, live music, home of the "manmosa", unbelievable-circus theme, has a slide that people love). Anthem was voted one of the best restaurants in the country- it's a must try! A 10 min walk in the other direction is Veracruz Taco's- hands down one of the best taco places in the world! There is so much to fun to be had in Austin, and we are located in one of the best areas to experience all of it first hand!

☆☆ THINGS TO DO NEARBY ☆☆
Head to Austin's Congress Bridge before sunset on any given summer evening and you'll likely see crowds of people filling the sidewalks. Why? They're waiting to see the bridge's 1.5 million protected bats that take flight every day at dusk. 

Cool Off at a Swimming Hole! You probably know Texas summers can be hot, but did you know it has plenty of natural swimming holes to cool off in, too? Barton Springs Pool is Austin's most famous swimming area, and nearby Campbell's Hole is an equally refreshing and lively spot to spend a sweltering afternoon. Just outside the city, the Hamilton Pool Preserve is more than worthy of a day trip: This moss-draped natural crater is a must-see.

Guest Access:
The 808 features its own driveway, which can park approx 3 cars. You'll have your own space to roam comfortably. The 808 is a primary BNB house - so it's all yours to enjoy!

The Neighborhood:
Our neighborhood is made up of true diversity, with young at heart and seasoned aged homeowners. Most of all the houses on Spence were built in the early 1930's. Spence St is a short 2 block street, which doesn't experience a lot of traffic. You may see some people looking for a space to park to walk to Rainey st or downtown, but you'll have your own driveway here, so parking won't be a concern.
Getting Around:
There is a short bus route will take you to downtown without switching buses. Use Lyft/Uber if you can, it's a short ride, typically costs around $5-$10 . Walking is very popular in this area, since we're approximately 6 minute walk to Rainey Street. Approximately 10min walk to downtown and approximately 5-7 min walk to the Convention Center.
Other Things to Note:
The 808 is next to the highway so naturally you will hear the hustle and bustle of not just the cars but all downtown lively Austin has to offer.
